Ground Zero

Toshihiro Fujita

Out of habit I look from the windows

Of the train that runs to the city

In the silence no laughter, no rows

Only sadness in eyes and pity

The emptiness on the landscape of buildings

The cavity in the souls of the people

You trying to hide your feelings

It's hard, when the wind caused the ripple

The fragment erased in the middle

Dead beauty in puddle of ashes

A shout with a poisonous needle

The pain that is worse than whip lashes

The scar that will never be healed

The pictures of bloody event

There is "No" to excuses revealed

A nightmare you couldn't prevent

Artist Profile

  • Toshihiro Fujita

Mark Wood's Viper, Electric Violinist / KORG WaveDrummer / Composer / Narrator Born in 1962, Japan. Desire to express with the western music instrument and electrified gear, the feeling for the great nature talk and exquisite noises like common human behavior and habit as meaningful whispering from all phenomena. It's my nationality toward the open minded actual world. My recording style is simple. The sound I would love to have is that from the monitor at the live audience, so that one track, one take, play at once, recording through pick-up microphone. I do not mix other takes at track down. Musically, I pay deep respect to Toru Takemitsu and Isao Tomita for truly incredible creativity and method breaking experiments. And to my mentor Jazz drummer Motohiko Hino for drumming configuration as well as musical attitude. All the photos on my pages are shot by myself, including cover jackets.
