guilt the lily「本音」は、言葉になる前に喉の奥で殺してしまった感情を描いた、雨の夜のような一曲。
本当は言いたいことがある。
けれど、あまりにも辛くて、意見も、声すらも出せない。
相手に向けた想いは確かにあるのに、それを綺麗な告白として差し出すことも、自分の中でなかったことにすることもできない。そんな曖昧で痛い感情が、この曲の中心にある。
タイトルの「本音」は、単純な「好き」や「悲しい」ではない。
むしろこの曲にある本音は、もっと矛盾している。君のことをもっと知りたい。君の瞳の奥にある火を知ってしまった。君の美しさに少しだけ救われた。でも、その美しさをまっすぐ受け入れるには、自分の心はもう疲れすぎている。世界は美しいとわかっているのに、その事実を受け入れられない。だからこそ苦しい。
雨、霧、声、火、化石、種。
歌詞に散りばめられたイメージは、主人公の心の状態そのものを映している。雨は終わらない憂鬱を、霧は届かない相手との距離を、声は言えなかった本音を、火はまだ消えていない小さな希望を表している。動けない自分を「化石」と呼びながらも、心の奥ではまだ何かを育てようとしている。その矛盾が、この曲の痛みであり、美しさでもある。

guilt the lily is a Japanese hip-hop artist whose name alludes to the aesthetic of overdecoration in art yet his music is marked by raw and sincere emotion. He discovered hiphop as a form of expression at the age of 14 and began producing music in earnest at 15. Through independent activity on SoundCloud he steadily garnered attention and at just 17 made his major debut in 2023 with his first album Marveric.
