UMASHIKATE
Formed in August 2020, this three-piece rock band captures fleeting emotions and the intricacies of human relationships through a unique lyrical sensibility. Their music blends raw intensity with warmth, delivering songs that are both powerful and deeply moving. Their track 1998 has gained significant attention on social media, particularly among teenagers and young adults. The band has made a strong impact on Japans live music scene, performing at major circuit festivals such as TOKYO CALLING, MINAMI WHEEL, MiMiNOKO ROCK FES JAPAN, Shimokitazawa Nite, KNOCKOUT FES, and TENJIN ONTAQ. They were also featured in the Come Music segment of Fuji TVs music program Love music and took part in a special segment on the variety show Shinya no Hachimitsu, which led to a performance at Hachi Fes during the Odaiba Adventure King event. In 2024, they released their first nationally distributed EP and embarked on a five-city tour, culminating in a sold-out finale at Spotify O-Crest in Tokyo. Building on this momentum, they kicked off 2025 with a triumphant one-man live at the same venue. Looking ahead, they are set to release a digital-exclusive EP in April, followed by an eight-city national tour.
