In the late 1980s, CHIC et CHOC suddenly emerged on the digital pop music scene. Their high-quality techno music, previously unavailable to listen to, is finally being released digitally. Starting with the first release, TURN AROUND, we will continuously release previously unreleased tracks! The era has finally caught up with music driven by analog synths!

  • CHIC et CHOC

    English:CHIC et CHOC: A techno-pop music unit consisting of three members: Masato Mizushima (vocals & programming), Hideki Mizushima (keyboards & synthesizer), and Hideki Ikemoto (bass). Initially formed as a four-piece called mode et mode with Haruhisa Kagawa (synthesizer). Kagawa left early on but contributed significantly to their early songwriting with his diverse sound design. Their active period was brief, spanning the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, yet they left behind numerous high-quality songs. Unfortunately, they never released through a major record label, meaning only a few trendsetters encountered their music. However, in 2025, their music will finally be released worldwide. We are grateful for the modern era's established digital distribution scene. We hope you enjoy their music, which encompasses not only technopop but also ambient, ethnic, Asian, and J-POP flavors. /Français : CHIC et CHOC : Groupe de musique techno-pop composé de trois membres : Masato Mizushima (chant et programmation), Hideki Mizushima (clavier et synthétiseur) et Hideki Ikemoto (basse). À ses débuts, le groupe comptait quatre membres, dont Haruhisa Kagawa (synthétiseur), et s'appelait « mode et mode ». Kagawa a quitté le groupe peu après sa création, mais il a contribué à la composition des premiers morceaux grâce à ses talents de compositeur polyvalent. Bien que leur carrière ait été de courte durée, s'étendant du milieu des années 1980 au début des années 1990, ils ont laissé derrière eux de nombreux morceaux de grande qualité. Malheureusement, n'ayant pas été signés par une grande maison de disques, leur musique n'était accessible qu'à une poignée de précurseurs. Mais en 2025, leur musique a enfin pu être diffusée à l'échelle mondiale. Nous pouvons remercier l'ère numérique pour cela.
