Yuudachi Gumo is a song I wrote before I started calling myself Pukunosuke It was created for my very first solo acoustic live performance
The inspiration for this song came from a quiet moment I witnessed while living in Soshigaya Okura One afternoon after school I saw a group of elementary school kids shouting Bye bye Bye bye over and over again as they waved at each other until they disappeared from sight That touching scene gave birth to the melody and lyrics of the chorus
Like a sudden summer shower the moment quickly passed but the image stayed with me Yuudachi Gumo captures that fleeting time and the lasting memory it left behind
