404AM returns with its ninth album, Yesterday.

It happened yesterday.

Yet it already feels like a distant dream.

Yesterday is an album about memory and function.

Not memory as nostalgia.

Memory as a system slowly failing to preserve itself.

A save process that never completed.

Silence after a parent meeting.

The feeling of being watched.

The comfort of indifference.

A shower running in an empty room.

Breakfast prepared for two.

A personality performed for survival.

Across these ten tracks, emotions are not absent.

They are simply malfunctioning.

Blending city pop, lo fi textures, dream pop atmospheres, broken dance music, apartment ambience, suburban stations, family restaurants, VHS damaged memories, and emotional static, 404AM creates a world where feelings survive only as corrupted data.

The characters here are not heartbroken.

They are processing.

Not lonely.

Just unable to stop noticing certain details.

Not searching for answers.

Only replaying old logs.

Yesterday explores the strange moment when memories stop feeling real but continue affecting the present.

A memory becomes a habit.

A habit becomes a function.

A function continues running long after its purpose is forgotten.

Ten tracks.

Ten emotional processes.

Still running in the background.
