Promises

NyariSounds

Sunrise through the blinds, another day begins

Empty coffee cups, the echo of your sins

Used to trace the lines, imagined where we'd go

Now the colors fade, a story I don't know

Scrolling through the feed, the memories still glow

But I'm stepping out, gotta let my feelings flow

One wrong turn, I nearly fell back down

Found my own horizon, turning this around

No more pastel promises, broken on the floor

Dancing with my shadows, locking every door

These are my new rules, I'm writing them in light

Moving on with purpose, shining ever bright

Used to play your game, learned the steps by heart

Every single move, played a fragile part

Now I'm making waves, a different kind of beat

Symphony of freedom, on these restless feet

Got my chosen crew, we're building up our scene

Leaving faded pictures, feeling fresh and clean

Every single step, a brand new choreography

This is my revival, redefining me

No more pastel promises, broken on the floor

Dancing with my shadows, locking every door

These are my new rules, I'm writing them in light

Moving on with purpose, shining ever bright

Remembering the past, but not living there now

Every single lesson, a silent, solemn vow

This energy inside me, can't be held or bound

Lost my way for moments, but now I'm truly found

No more pastel promises, broken on the floor

Dancing with my shadows, locking every door

These are my new rules, I'm writing them in light

Moving on with purpose, shining ever bright

Shining ever bright, yeah

Pastel promises, left behind

My rules, my light

NyariSounds
