2012年からエレクトロポップとR&Bを発信してきたシアトルに本拠を置くパシフィック・エリートである「The Flavr Blue」のセカンドアルバム「Blue Dream」が、2017年10月27日に発売することが決定。
本作はエレクトロポップ、R&B、メロディック・ヒップホップの合計14トラックのコレクションで構成されている。パンチの利いたエレクトリックサウンドながらも、アメリカ西海岸のヒップホップの心地いいサウンドを取り入れ、リラックスした気分で聴くことができる一枚に仕上がっている。
メインプロデユーサーに、グラミー賞受賞者であるHollis Wong Wear(ホリス)、そしてプロデューサー兼ボーカリストとしてLace Cadence（レース）とParker Joe（パーカー）の3名が制作の指揮を執る。
更に客演として、The Last Artful,Dodgr、YMTK、Jay Park、Cha Cha MaloneやSweater Beats等、超豪華な顔ぶれが参加している。
The Flavr Blueの3人にしか表現できない歌詞や楽曲の世界が一枚に集約されたアルバムとなった本作を皮切りに、今後3人のアジアでの活躍にも期待だ。

The Flavr Blue
Seattle-based Pacific elites The Flavr Blue have been making waves with their cool-water electronic-pop and R&B since 2012. Their sophomore album Blue Dream set for release on October 27th. Much like its namesake, the album provides a relaxing high and a subtly invigorating rush, highlighted by punchy electronics and rooftop-ready West Coast hip-hop. Blue Dream is a 14-track collection fronted by Grammy-nominated Hollis Wong Wear while producers/vocalists Lace Cadence and Parker Joe triangulate between pulsing electronic pop, chilled out R&B, and melodic hip-hop. Tracks like "Simple Love" and "Picture Perfect" bloom with lush intimacy while "143" finds them riding out in that perfect purple twilight, smoke twirling between words unsaid. The album boasts a fluid cast of all-stars including The Last Artful, Dodgr, YMTK, Jay Park, Cha Cha Malone, and Sweater Beats. As fires burn everywhere, hatred stoking the flames, The Flavr Blue put their own smoke in the air, a strain more conducive to cooling out and connecting with your peoples, celebrating what we got.
