Singer-songwriter SeiN will release her new single, "iiwakejouzudayone", on September 9.
Rooted in R&B, SeiN explores a complicated and fragile relationship between a woman who knows she is being lied to but deliberately chooses to look the other way, and a man who continues to hide behind one excuse after another.
It's not that she isn't hurt, nor that she has completely come to terms with the situation. Rather, she understands that revealing her true feelings won't change the relationship. And so, instead of confronting the truth, she chooses to pretend to believe him - to let herself be "fooled."
Built around a sophisticated R&B sound reminiscent of a late-night drive through the city, the track pairs a sensual yet subtly bittersweet vocal performance with a story of the bravado, lingering feelings, and unspoken affection that exist beneath the surface of adult romance.
The title, "iiwakejouzudayone," carries more than simple sarcasm. Behind those words lies a complicated mix of resignation, tenderness, and feelings she cannot bring herself to say out loud.

Artist Profile
SeiN
A Japanese and Taiwanese half singer-songwriter. Rooted in R&B, she creates genre-free music with a wide range of influences. Her signature is her sultry and subtly melancholic voice. She hopes to create music that stays close to the quietness of the night and gently illuminates someone like the moon. She began studying vocals in her first year of junior high school and has also experienced a wide range of musical activities, including a cappella and band performances. She won 2nd place in the Sing It Yourself Contest at Hibiya Music Festival 2020, participated in the Sing Along MV for Little Glee Monster, and received the JOYSOUND Award at the Guitar Senpai Vocal Audition hosted by Shimamura Music.
