"I'm fine" is one of those phrases that can mean
"yeah, I'm good" or "I'm kinda okay"
while hiding a bunch of feelings underneath.
That's basically what this track is built on.
It's about SNS, validation, dreams, boredom, and self-hate -
that weird modern feeling you get living day to day,
floating over a Joji / Slay4 type beat.
Instead of flashy success stories
or acting tough like a stereotypical rapper,
it's more like:
opening Instagram,
liking your favorite girl's pics,
recording in sweatpants,
while secretly wanting to make something big of yourself.
I wanted to keep that nerdy kind of realism in the music.
The beat sounds futuristic and creative,
but the person inside it is still kinda awkward,
self-indulgent,
and still dreaming somewhere deep down.
Just play it casually and vibe with it.
