  Rapper, DJ, and Producer ILLMINATERZ (Osaka, Japan) Hailing from Sakai City, Osaka, WANS YUCCAROSE is a hip-hop rapper who began performing live and competing in freestyle battles while still a teenager in the early 2000s. In 2004, he took runner up honors at the HIP HOP CONVENTION '04 freestyle battle held at Mother Hall. In 2006, he collaborated with a classmate in Tokyo to feature on the track Toguro/Hikkoshi from D.M.R.'s fourth album. That same year, he became a core member of the South Osaka Squad (S.O.S.) he contributed the track SUPER HERO(credited to WANS/CLIMB ART) to their independently produced debut album, *South Osaka Squad*, and participated in several tracks on the group's mix CD. He also helped release the group's second album, which included their signature hit song, Yamatogawa. In 2014, he independently released the CD WONDER SHOT, a street mix featuring both solo tracks and collaborations with fellow artists. More recently, he released the album *ILLMINATE* as the frontman of the group ILLMINATERZ. He continues to release solo material regularly, infusing his tracks with high-quality rhymes and a lyrical depth born of years of experience qualities that set his work far apart from the mainstream Japanese rap scene. He is an indispensable figure in the Osaka underground scene.
