ARKTA初のSingleタイトル "The Last Day" がついにリリース。ARKTAの持つ世界観を凝縮した1曲であるが、これは彼らの物語のほんの序章に過ぎないだろう。
アーティスト情報
ARKTA
ARKTAは、ロサンゼルスを拠点とするTakと、東京を拠点に活動するkenkenによって構成されるオルタナティヴ・ロックプロジェクト。ニューメタルやエモを基軸に、ヘヴィなバンドサウンドとメロディアスな要素、そして感情の起伏を軸にしたストーリーテリングを融合したサウンドを特徴としている。 Takは米国在住でありNJPW STRONG（新日本プロレス・アメリカ大会）にてリングアナウンサーとしても活動し、北米プロジェクトQuietudeのボーカリストとしても知られる。一方、kenkenはメタルコアバンドDELHEZIの元メンバーであり、Another Storyのサポートギタリストとしても活動するなど、日米双方のロックシーンで実績を重ねてきた。 2021年には、ニトロキラルによるビジュアルノベル『スロウ・ダメージ』へ楽曲提供を行い、「Keep Me Alive」「Damaging You」などを担当。同作品を通じて、映像的・物語的要素とリンクした音楽性が注目を集める。 2022年には「CHiRAL LIVE 2022 × スロウ・ダメージ」にて初のライブパフォーマンスを披露し、東京公演はソールドアウトを記録。続く2023年にはロサンゼルスで初のフェスに出演し海外での存在感も示した。 2024年にはセルフプロデュースによる1st EP『From Where The City Lights Burn』をリリースし、DIY的な制作姿勢とサウンドの進化を提示。全国ツアーを経て、ライブアクトとしての評価を確立している。 2025年には2nd EP『As Oneself』をリリース。攻撃性とメロディのバランスをさらに研ぎ澄ましながら、よりシネマティックで内面的な表現領域へと拡張した作品となった。同作を携えたジャパンツアー(Tokyo Calling, In The Family Fest, Hiroshishima Super DX出演も含め）も成功を収め、ライブバンドとしての存在感を一層強固なものにしている。 国やジャンルの枠組みにとらわれず、音楽・映像・物語性を横断しながら独自の世界観を構築するARKTAは、現代オルタナティヴ・ロックシーンにおいて新たなフェーズへと突入しつつある。2026年は初のワンマンライブと大宮ソニックシティーで開催されるThe CHiRAL Night出演予定。
