ARKTA初のSingleタイトル "The Last Day" がついにリリース。ARKTAの持つ世界観を凝縮した1曲であるが、これは彼らの物語のほんの序章に過ぎないだろう。

ARKTA
ARKTA(アークタ)はカリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス出身のTak(ヴォーカル)と、東京出身のkenken(ヴォーカ ル/プロデューサー)によるインターナショナル・ハイブリッド・ロック・デュオ。Takは新日本プロレスのリングアナウンサーとしても知られ、北米のバンドQuietudeのスクリーマーでもある。kenkenは以前、メタルコアバンド DELHEZIのメンバーであり、ラウドバンドAnother Storyのサポートギターを担当していた。 Nu-metalとemoを無縫に組み合わせ、エモーショナルなメロディラインとTakの強烈なスクリームを駆使して、 バンドは「人生の高低」のストーリーを語っている。バンドの楽曲を通じて、彼らは主人公たちの人生と死に対する視点、そしてこの世で生きている実感を味わう瞬間に焦点を当てている。「音楽を通して自分たちを表現しているものを、リスナーが映画や小説のような「物語」を体験しているように感じてほしい」とTakは語る。「そ れは音楽内で表現される感情や言葉に基づいています」とkenkenは付け加える。 2020年5月に結成された直後、ARKTAはゲームブランド Nitro+chiral(ニトロプラス キラル)のコンピュータゲ ーム「Slow Damage」のエンディングテーマ曲として「Keep me alive」と「Damaging you」の2曲を提供する。このゲームは2021年に世界中でリリースされた。 ゲームと楽曲のリリースを祝し、ARKTAは東京の神田スクエアホールで開催された「CHiRAL LIVE 2022 × Slow Damage」(NITRO CHiRal :旧NITRO+CHiRAL 主催)において、1,000人収容のフルキャパシティの観客を前に初めてのライブを披露。このライブパフォーマンスは世界中に同時配信され、高い評価を受けた。 2023年3月11日、ARKTAはファースト・シングル「The Last Day」を全ストリーミングプラットフォームでリリース。 同年7月には初アメリカライブもロサンゼルスで開催されたRising Japan Fest 2023で実現。計画を念頭に置き 、DIYを取り入れたARKTAは、ロサンゼルスと東京の間をインターネットで行き来しながら、時間をかけて 2024年2月に北米の自主レーベルからリリース予定であるファーストEPの新曲を制作中。ほとんどの制作は遠隔地で行われ、レコーディング、ミキシング、マスタリングはすべて自分たちの手で行われている。
