Based in Okinawa, singer-songwriter Fukumoto Nao who launched her music career in earnest in 2020 and captivates listeners with her crystal-clear, one-of-a-kind voice is making her debut appearance on the latest installment of the surf music compilation Sea of Love!

With her diverse musical style spanning R&B, jazz, funk, neo-soul, and reggae and her crystal-clear vocals, she has penned Melody of That Day, a nostalgic summer tune that depicts the scenery of a drive to the ocean and her feelings for a loved one who has drifted away.

Laid-back, medium-tempo beat is layered with soothing electric guitar cuts and backing, along with a mellow, groovy bassline, creating an urban groove that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
The band ensemble simple yet meticulously crafted down to the finest details gives the track a pleasant sense of lightness and warmth.

The arrangement is by Kannon Price, who previously served as guitarist for the next-generation reggae band ASOUND (currently on hiatus) and now produces numerous artists.

Drive to the beach, a setting sun, and that melody from back then that suddenly comes to mind.
The song captures memories of love lingering in the casual scenes of everyday life, set to a light, warm sound and a melody youll find yourself humming along to.
Fukumoto Nao crystal-clear vocals deliver a track that simultaneously evokes the soothing sensation of a summer sea breeze and the bittersweet longing for someone who has drifted away.
