While We Are Here

Let "someday" become one small step today.

While We Are Here, an English-language bossa nova album by asafuwari, explores the choices that give our limited time meaning. A friend we have meant to visit, glasses saved for a special occasion, gratitude left unspoken: ordinary details become invitations to live with greater attention.

Warm female vocals meet gently dancing guitar, rounded bass, and luminous piano in arrangements that feel breezy, intimate, and quietly hopeful. Moving through hesitation, connection, loss, and renewal, the album makes room for both the courage to begin and the comfort of slowing down.

From the promise of morning to the tenderness of a quiet night, these songs offer a simple invitation: appreciate the people beside you, make room for what matters, and say what you can while you are here.
