Chronosphere

Tera Kira

In the isolated hangar “Vetra,” bathed in bluish light

Sova fiddled with the artifact

Studying this mysterious, enigmatic device

A black box, from a ghost ship

Not a normal flight recorder

Not writings, but strange patterns—

Chrono-topological, not of this Earth

They shifted with the observer’s gaze—

Like a Rubik’s cube, for the astro-navigator

Sova, sharp-minded as a razor

Discarded standard hacking attempts

Instead, she built a device

Based on quantum superposition…

"I’ll fold all universe possibilities together

And maybe the correct code will appear."

The black box hummed, flashing bright

Spitting distorted data into reality

But instead of reports or charts—

A strange projection rose in the hangar

Behold the Chronosphere—massive, not machine

Transparent, gleaming like a chandelier

It fed on the time of living beings

Extracting chronons, creating loops…

Suddenly, the ship’s systems reacted to the anomaly

Gravitational shields, repaired by the crew

Played an unexpected role—

Stabilizing the temporal impulse…

From the box, yet also drawing to “Vetra”

Echoes from other timelines

In the corridors, “ghosts” appeared:

Projections of crew members—past and future variants

Phase shifts, not hallucinations

Triggered by the box and the grav shields…

“Whoa, that’s me!” one blinked

“Only gray… and no morning coffee.”

“And that’s me, with a medal!”

“And me… alas, on crooked crutches.”

Fox watched the chaos:

"Destroy it? Forget it!

No, else the universe collapses

Turn it off, we’re trapped in time’s snare

Better—let the ship’s shields

Pass the energy through them

Turn the trap into a compass—

And Vetra will explore the otherworld!

Not random now, but on chosen routes—

All universe variations await us."

Thus the heroes became not victims of chrono-mess

But chrono-navigators of our story

Now they can

Control local time fields—

Slow or accelerate time around the ship

Create stable temporal portals

Without risk of loops or anomalies

Sova didn’t hack the box—she understood it

And gave a reason to continue onward…
