「深夜2時、世界で一番静かな場所は、この車内にある。」
前作『Luminous』で自分を浄化したSkyLaboratoryが、第2弾シングルとして放つのは、都会の静寂と家族の温かさを描いた、極上の「横揺れ」ドライブ・ミュージックだ。
本作の最大の特徴は、南アフリカ発祥の重厚な Amapiano リズムに、哀愁漂う Muted Jazz Trumpet を大胆にブレンドした点にある。地を這うようなログドラムの「ムニッ」とした弾力ある低音は、スピーカーを通じて身体を包み込み、窓の外を流れる街灯の光と完璧にシンクロする。

さりげない日常の景色を、曼荼羅（Mandala）のように重なり合う幾何学的なフローへと昇華させた5分間。家族や大切な人と過ごす帰り道、あるいは一人で静かに自分と向き合う深夜の高速道路。この『Velvet Highway』を走るとき、孤独は癒やしへと変わり、全ての縁が一つに繋がっていく。
