Seven-Spotted Ladybug: Concept & Commentary
Lyrics
This song was created based on a true story. My hope is to share a sense of dreams and happiness with everyone from children to the "former children" who are now adults.
Overview
The story began when a young boy brought a seven-spotted ladybug home in his trouser pocket. He forgot it was there, and it ended up in the washing machine. When his mother asked him about it, he replied, "It's my treasure..."
From that moment, I envisioned the Seven-Spotted Ladybug as a symbol of the boy's happiness a guardian spirit.
Additionally, I used the onomatopoeic phrase "Tururi-Sharari-Fuwa-Wwa" as a magical spell, like angels whispering, to invite the listener into a world of fantasy.
Composition
To make this a "song for everyone" that people of all ages can enjoy, sing, and feel at peace with, I experimented with a modulation from a standard waltz to a jazz waltz.
For the arrangement, I incorporated the sounds of the Gamelan, a traditional folk instrument. I hope this adds an extra layer of healing and mystical atmosphere to the piece.
From Japan to the world, I deliver this music of gentle healing.
I hope you all listen and find comfort in it.
