Lyric

Rain is washing out the city

Red lights bleeding through the street

I don’t even know where I’m going

Left my umbrella somewhere behind

Let me get soaked

I don’t wanna stop tonight

I don’t need a reason

I’ll make one up tomorrow

Impulse in the rain

I’m running straight to you

Leave tomorrow to the person I’ll be then

Impulse in the rain

My heartbeat knows the way

Even if it’s wrong

Just for tonight

Don’t make me stop

Saw myself in a puddle on the ground

Didn’t know that face

So I stepped right through it

A voice said go home

I let the rain drown it out

I don’t need what’s right

I know what I want right now

Impulse in the rain

I’m running straight to you

Leave tomorrow to the person I’ll be then

Impulse in the rain

My heartbeat knows the way

Even if it’s wrong

Just for tonight

Don’t make me stop
