THERMASOMA is a four-track EP by Kiwako Ashimine.

The EP features four songs, including the previously released single Infection and tracks that emerged through the creative process in Okinawa.

At the heart of this work is the experience of being alive through the body itself: the beating of the heart, blood moving through the veins, the desire for someone, rejection, pain, and the impulse to reach out and touch. By tracing bodily reactions and emotional currents that cannot be fully controlled by conscious will, the EP explores what it means to be alive.

The four songs were not written around a predetermined concept. Each one was born purely from what was happening within me at that particular moment. As a result, the sonic approach and expression differ from track to track, yet when the four songs are placed together, they reveal a continuous emotional movement feelings emerging, shifting, and transforming from within.

The EP is produced by SWING-O, who shaped each track with its own distinct sonic character while preserving the individuality of the songs that grew out of the Okinawa sessions.

The body is like a piece of land.
It carries humidity and heat. Fruit grows, sometimes ripens into decay, and something new begins to sprout again. Beauty and ugliness, purity and rawness all of them coexist within the same body.

Rather than a body arranged to be seen by someone else, this work turns toward the body that exists within, untouched and inaccessible to anyone but oneself.

Through four songs with different sonic landscapes, THERMASOMA traces the contours of life and emotion that exist within a single human being.
