ARUHI is a distinctive piano rock band formed in August 2020 in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan. Performing as a bass-less three-piece, the band is known for its dramatic and unpredictable song structures. In 2024, ARUHI became a finalist in Emergenza Japan 2024, one of the worlds largest live music contests for amateur bands, where they also received the Special Jury Award further proving their musical prowess. The band consists of Sota Muroyama (Keyboards & Vocals), Hiroshi Yamazaki (Guitar & Vocals), and Yui (Drums). Featuring twin vocalists, both Muroyama and Yamazaki are responsible for songwriting and composition. Their music is characterized by dynamic vocal interplay, creative use of effects, and theatrical arrangements that range from intense rock to playful pop often unfolding like an opera. Centered around piano-driven soundscapes, ARUHI has built a unique musical world, with virtuosic piano solos standing out as one of the bands signature highlights.
