  • Rio Hosokawa

    A Japanese singer-songwriter. Born in Innoshima, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. She spent her life until high school graduation in Innoshima, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and graduated from ESP Vocational School. At the age of 21, she moved to New York to study singing. In 2014, she appeared on TBS *Sing! Sing! Sing!*. Advice from music producer Akihiko Honma, a judge on the show, inspired her to start her career as a singer-songwriter. She also appeared in the second season of the same program. She performed on Nippon TV *Song King*. In 2015, she released her 1st single, *astra*. In 2016, she released her 1st album, *Nostalgic*. She performed at a music event on the outdoor stage of the International Forum, hosted by Heineken. On February 4, 2019, her 4th single, *Crossover*, was featured on music producer Kenta Matsukuma radio program *Scramble Rock City*, earning a spot on the show playlist. In 2019, her 5th single, *Spring is Cute*, surpassed 350,000 plays on TikTok. Her activity concept is [I want to keep conveying that the world is beautiful.] **Appearances** - TBS *Sing! Sing!
