  • BE THE VOICE

    A duo formed by Junko Wada from Tokyo and Shunji Suzuki. In 1998, they made their debut on Concipio Records, a label founded by YMO member Yukihiro Takahashi, who also gave them their name, together with fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. Their sound blends a gentle yet husky female vocal with acoustic warmth and the coolness influenced by techno and hip hop, captivating fans not only in Japan but also in Korea. They have also produced numerous TV commercials, music, and narrations. Now based in Fukuoka, their creative work has been influenced by the nearby forest they frequently visit, leading to the release of the single "Saru no Jidai" and the live video series "from the FOREST."
