Puddle Song

Kei Daikouji

    Puddle Song

    Kei Daikouji

A gentle and reflective song by singer songwriter Kei Daikouji based in Ayase City Kanagawa
Puddle Song was born from an encounter between everyday scenery and the small lives that share it
The lyrics offer an honest expression of awareness and humility found in daily life
sung with quiet warmth that gently touches the heart
The arrangement is by Zoolacebo saxophonist of the Kei Daikouji Orchestra
The song was produced on November 2 2022 to mark Kei Daikouji's 43rd birthday

Below is a message from the artist

This song is based on a real experience
There is a large puddle on the side road next to my apartment
It seems to have gotten bigger every year
Even after the rain stops the puddle remains for a while
and I used to think it was annoying and in the way
But one sunny day I saw two sparrows bathing happily in that puddle
and I realized I had been thinking only from my own perspective
Maybe that puddle was something necessary for them
I wrote this song with that feeling in mind

Arranged by Zoolacebo on saxophone from the Kei Daikouji Orchestra
Produced on November 2 2022 in celebration of Kei Daikouji's 43rd birthday
