This is a remix by SOMAOTA of the songs "Tempest" and "Mosquitone" from the album "Sway" released in 2020 by Tricot, an alternative band based in Osaka.By reinterpreting the beat of the original songs and adding rap, SOMAOTA has created a more multi-layered musical world that has a new sound and appeal that is different from the original songs.
The two artists have already collaborated on "Libra feat. SOMAOTA" (selected for the Apple Music official playlist "WASABI"), which was released in March 2021, and this is the second part of their collaboration.
The key engineer of Tricot's sound, Wataru Koukei, mixes and masters the songs, and for this work, he dynamically changed the development of the songs to match SOMAOTA's rap, and also remastered them.

SOMAOTA, a Rapper/Beatmaker based in Kyoto, Japan, released their first EP "Nori Nori Daze" last year, which was highly praised by the industry and received a long interview from PRKS9. He also received a compliment from Mr. Shintaro Kunieda(He is a famous music video director in Japan). In September of the same year, he released "O.l.E", an EP in collaboration with Osaka-based Rapper NeVGrN (with Neibiss' ratiff as a guest performer). He is also the MC of "Black petrol," an experimental hiphop band that is currently attracting attention as one of the top young bands in the Kansai region. Black petrol will release their first EP "Q' uoted By" in September 2019 and their second EP "UnIdentified Children" in April 2020.
In February 2021, the band will release three consecutive months of singles "TABU", "astral pumpkin", and "God Breath", representing the band's new mode. Each song was selected for official playlists on Spotify, such as "New Music Friday" and "Edge! Radio" on Apple Music, curated by music Youtuber Mino, and the band's appearance at the anniversary event of Kyoto's CLUB METRO, as well as their guest appearance in the song "STREET GIG feat. Black petrol" by current hot rapper Sorane, further made the band's name known to the world. They released their first album "MYTH" on December 1, 2021. "MYTH" is a piece of music that embodies the passion and love of our time, with a melancholic atmosphere that includes ruminating phrases and moments that give you awareness while showing a JAZZ-like approach. The album features guest appearances by Ume, a female singer active in Japan's Jazz/Soul scene, and their ally NeVGrN.

Osaka based alternative R&B band "Tricot" released their 1st AL "Sway" in 2020. They released "Eyes" in January 2021, "Libra feat. SOMAOTA" in March 2021 (both selected for Apple Music's official playlist "WASABI"), and their EP "I Choose Us" in July 2021.
