After releasing the bootleg remix tape [Minesweeper Vol.1] in 2023, Stoop had not put out a full-length project-until now. Refusing to be swayed by the whirlwind of everyday life, he finally returns with a brand-new album after nearly two and a half years.

Tropic of Capricorn is a beat-driven hip-hop album where instinctively carved grooves are reshaped through the sampler into a one-of-a-kind texture. The lead track, [Space Cadet]-a collaboration with labelmate GK-is joined by a number of sessions with new allies such as Noizy from Stoop's hometown of Nagasaki and Osaka-based S-kaine.

Packed with instrumentals, layered textures, and even untraceable vocal snippets, the album captures Stoop's deep curiosity and playful spirit toward [sound,] inviting listeners on a journey through his sonic world.

  • Stoop the Raid

Born in 1998. Fukuoka Tenjin, a producer/beat maker based on Oyafuko and sounded the black alarm all over the country. Belongs to the local label MNDSLDG (Mind Sludge). Is it more appropriate to express the unique undulating groove as making the listener nod rather than shaking his head? Samples excavated from all top secret routes are resuscitated after being put on their hands.
