Shadow watch me rise is a new release from KUMA one of the leading vocal trainers in Western Japan who continues to evolve with a distinctive identity as a singer and artist

Built around the theme of light and shadow the track is rooted in ROCK while intentionally incorporating unstable chord progressions and unconventional melodic movement creating an aggressive and slightly unsettling sonic landscape

The recurring camera shutter sounds heard throughout the song symbolize both the sound of capturing and cutting out ones past and the boundary between the self we show to others and the self that exists underneath

Lyrically the song takes a provocative look at modern society where people are often judged by numbers titles and fragments of information taken out of context KUMA delivers that criticism through sharp confrontational language and a distinctly rebellious attitude

KUMAs musical roots have always been in ROCK

Over the years he has expanded his expression through POPS and J R and B refining and evolving his own sound along the way With this track however he returns once again to the genre that first shaped him

KUMA
KUMA is a singer and voice trainer based in Hiroshima Japan With 22 years of experience as a rock band vocalist and J R and B singer he has released numerous songs and performed extensively on stage He is known for his ability to move freely across ROCK POPS and R and B while maintaining strong vocal technique and expressive versatility In recent years he has been actively pursuing his solo career under the name KUMA His activities include appearances on terrestrial television commercial songs theme songs national anthem performances at major stadiums and an Asia tour in Thailand He continues to perform live and release new music with a strong and stable following His regular solo concerts with audiences of more than 200 people have also been well received As a voice trainer KUMA previously worked as an instructor at a major vocal training school In 2020 he established Voice RENOVA a vocal studio with locations in Ujina Hiroshima City and Saijo Higashihiroshima His original training method combines extensive performance experience with scientifically based vocal theory Since opening Voice RENOVA he has coached aspiring professionals active artists announcers competition award winners beginners professional performers and business professionals His lessons are recognized for their practical approach and reproducibility based on both scientific methodology and real stage experience He currently holds certifications and licenses from seven organizations related to vocal training and voice development Since 2025 he has also worked as an artist producer supporting emerging singers and focusing on the development of the next generation
