2017年に結成してから紆余曲折を経て
8年目の活動を迎える彼らの気持ちを体現した作品になっている。
Formed in 2017, MDJ is a three-piece vocal unit consisting of DELARYOTA, CHANYAMA and issa. Although performing without a backing band, their sound is built upon authentic band arrangements rooted in American pop-rock, loud rock and mixture. They are known for delivering explosive band-like energy on stage. Their performances are characterized by the fusion of DELARYOTA and CHANYAMA edgy vocals, rap and commanding stage presence, combined with issa smooth and melodic vocal sensibility. Based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, MDJ rapidly expanded their fanbase nationwide within just two years of formation. In December 2019, MDJ released their debut single Tsuyome Tequila nationwide on CD. The release event sold out immediately, followed by a Village Vanguard tour across Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka. They also served as personalities for their year-long radio program CentRal Voice Wave Power of Voice on @FM (FM Aichi). The track LOVE YOU was selected as the ending theme for CBC TV program Machi Ichi Going Mai Way!. MDJ has consistently sold out major one-man lives, including X-HALL, NAGOYA ReNY limited, Diamond Hall and Zepp Nagoya. Their second single HURRY UP (2020) ranked number three on the Oricon Weekly Indies Chart and number fifteen on the Daily Chart. They continued releasing music steadily, gaining recognition through music videos, nationwide tours and large-scale headline performances. In 2023, their autumn tour concluded with a sold-out performance at Zepp Nagoya, their long-time goal since formation. In 2024, their digital single HERO was featured as the ending theme for Nippon TV network variety program Audrey-san, Zehi Atte Hoshii Hito ga Iru ndesu. The song gained major attention after being selected as actor Ryubi Miyase number one theme song on Buzz Rhythm 02. In 2025, MDJ completed a nationwide eight-city one-man tour and successfully held their first summer one-man tour, with the finale performed in a full-band setup. Their 8th anniversary event DELA SUMMIT vol.11 trended on X (Twitter), demonstrating their growing national presence. In September 2025, MDJ released Kataomoi, featuring actress Shiori Iwanami and influencer-turned-artist Mikiya Masamune, which was selected as the ending theme for Nippon TV and STV Sapporo TV programs. MDJ continues to expand their influence nationwide, establishing themselves as one of Japan most powerful and emotionally driven live acts.
