The Cards I Play is an alternative nu-metal band hailing from Tokyo, Japan. Since their formation in 2019, they have been carving out a distinct presence in Japan's heavy music scene, rapidly building momentum with their explosive sound and raw energy. Fusing the intensity of metalcore, the grit of nu-metal, and the attitude of hip hop, the band delivers a genre-bending sound that feels both cutting-edge and unmistakably their own - bold, unfiltered, and fiercely dynamic. 2024 marked a breakthrough year: they headlined their first-ever solo show and completed a nationwide headline tour, proving their draw as a live act. They also lit up the stage as the opening act at SiM's 'DEAD POP FESTiVAL' and joined UK heavyweights WHILE SHE SLEEPS as the guest act for their entire Japan tour.
