I turned 60 this year and work as a doctor in the middle of nowhere on the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I started composing again in 2018 after a 32-year hiatus. When I was age of 20, my composition teacher was a big fan of Andy Warhol, and we often went to see his works together. I composed this music based on those memories.

I work as a physician in a small town on the Kanto Plain, about 100 kilometers north of Tokyo. From 1978 to 1980, I lived in New York because of my father's work. The atmosphere and scenery of those years remain one of the greatest inspirations behind my music. As a teenager, I discovered jazz, which completely changed the way I listened to and understood music. I was also deeply influenced by YMO and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Today, I compose freely across many genres, including jazz, techno, classical, and world music. In 2018, after a 27-year break, I returned to composing. Since then, I have written more than 200 pieces of music, releasing them one by one as a record of my life. Rather than staying within a single genre, I enjoy turning memories, landscapes, and ideas into music. Someday, if I can naturally write an enka song, I might consider that a personal milestone as a composer. If even one of my pieces resonates with you, I would be truly grateful.
