He was born

He was born in a dumpster

There was nothing to envy, and there was nothing to steal

But at night, moonlight reflected off some of the trash

He called it treasure

Time passed by, and he came out of the dumpster

There was light everywhere, and they chased what glittered the most

But in the light, his treasure wasn’t allowed to shine

People called it just trash and laughed

He tried to hold it up to the light

But it stayed the same

Nothing betrayed him

He finally knew it

And so he holds it close tightly and shouts

“Nothing to show. Nothing to know. For it’s still what it is.”

“Nothing to show. Nothing to know. That’s all.”

His treasure keeps shining in the dumpster
