ラッパー・スポークンワーズアーティストのなのるなもないと、プロデューサー・トラックメイカー のYAMAANが共作アルバム『水月』を10月10日にリリースする。
なのるなもないは2002年頃から志人とのユニット「降神」として活動。日本語のヒップホップの 言語表現の枠を大きく拡張してきた。ソロでは「 melhentrips」「アカシャの唇」などの作品を 発表し、日常の中にある小宇宙を詩的な感覚ですくいあげて、ラップやスポークンワーズという形 で表現してきた。
YAMAANは降神や多彩なアーティストが在籍するクルーTemple ATSのメンバーとして活動を開 始。アンビエントやヒップホップ、ハウスなどを行き来しながら活動し、’20年に『幻想区域EP』 を発表。’21年にはアンビエントとメンフィスラップにインスパイアされたCHIYORIとの共作 「Mystic High」を発表した。
なのるなもないとYAMAANは2005年の”melhentrips” 収録の“shermanship” をはじめとして多 くの楽曲を生み出してきたが、今回が初の共作アルバムとなる。タイトルの「水月」から想起され るように、しなやかで静的なムードも漂うトラックの上で、なのるなもないの小宇宙が展開する 作品となった。
瑞々しいニューエイジアンビエント的なサウンドと真夏の白昼夢のようなリリックでアルバムの幕 をあける『空よりも青く』や、躍動的なビートの上で生命や時間についての考察、死生観をも感じ させる詩が力強く歌われる『Beacon』。ディープハウスに官能的なリリックとスクラッチが心地 よく刻まれる『優しくして』、不条理で暴力的な社会に対するリリックをトラップサウンドの上 で綴った『Criminal Spirituals』など、なのるなもないとYAMAANの様々な側面が表現された8 曲入りのアルバムとなっている。
アルバム中の2曲にはTemple ATSのメンバーでもあり、数々のDJバトルでも実績を残してきた DJ SHUNがスクラッチで参加。楽曲の世界観に呼応した音楽的でスキルフルなスクラッチを演奏 してくれている。
アルバムのオリジナルアートワークは尾道在住の画家、白水麻耶子。深い緑の森や水辺のような不 思議な心地良さを持った絵画が「水月」の世界観を押し広げている。
そしてオリジナルアートワークをもとにデザイナーTakara Ohashiがディレクションを担当。今回 モノとしてリリースする面白さを大切にしたいという意向を汲み、箱庭型に組み立てが出来るジャ ケットを監修してくれた。
本作は自主レーベル「studio melhentrips」からの記念すべき第一作。フィジカルはCD、デジタ ルはBandcamp、ストリーミングにて発表となる。

    Nanorunamonai (TempleATS / ORIGAMI) Rapper and spoken-word artist. His voice is deep and carries many shades, at times so close it feels as though he is speaking directly into your ear, and at others so distant it seems as if it might disappear somewhere beyond reach. His poetry gives language to feelings that many people know but cannot quite put into words, flowing with rhythm and melody. It becomes meaning, image, and music, crossing boundaries and traveling wherever it may go. In 2003, he released the self-titled album [ORIGAMI] as part of the duo ORIGAMI with Sibitt. With a distinctive lyrical world and singular flow, they established a style unlike any other and gained a broad following that extended far beyond hip-hop. After the second album [NOOZMI~Tsukiwonakushitaousama~], Nanorunamonai released his first solo album [melhentrips] in 2005. The album received critical acclaim, including a HIPHOP Disc Award from the music magazine REMIX. While actively appearing at outdoor festivals such as Yamauto, otonotani, and Fuji Rock Festival 2008, he also contributed guest performances to numerous works by other artists. In 2013, he released his second solo album, [Lips of Akasha]. In 2023, he released the album [Water Moon] under the name Nanorunamonai × YAMAAN. On September 25, 2026, Nanorunamonai × YAMAAN released [Neminemu Fruit]. And still, the poems continue to be woven and new songs continue to emerge, as he walks through that still-unnamed place somewhere between words and sound.
