The Story Behind "Light Me Up"

"Light" and "Darkness." "Loneliness" and "Liberation."
When I wrote this song, these two contrasts were burning inside me.

It came from that sensation of drifting aimlessly in the dark, unable to grasp anything, as if I had lost all rhythm.
But then, a single encounter struck me like lightning-reviving my passion and will to live. Light Me Up is about that very moment when the heart is set ablaze.

The chorus line, "Light me up, set me free," carries a wish:
"With you by my side, I can break free from the shadows and fears that hold me down."

While the track embraces electro and dance beats, at its core it tells a human story-about meeting someone who reignites the soul.
Only when illuminated by light does one's true self begin to shine.
I channeled that joy and urgency into the heat of the dance floor, and the exhilaration that feels as though it could pierce the night sky.

The closing words, "This is love," go beyond the bounds of romance.
They speak to the very force that rekindles life itself. It's a declaration that the raw power to live can, in its purest sense, be called love.

I hope this song reaches those who are feeling low or alone, and whispers:
"There will always be a light to guide you."
