Kento Sugiyama's new album, Boku no Naka no Kimi, is an 11-track collection that marks a new chapter in his songwriting.

Having spent much of his career performing as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter, Sugiyama expands his musical expression into a band setting while remaining firmly rooted in the spirit of folk music.

The album explores the joy, anxiety, loneliness, and affection found within the seemingly ordinary landscapes of everyday life.

As its title, Boku no Naka no Kimi ("You Inside Me"), suggests, the album is bound together by the presence of "the you who lives inside me."

Rather than pursuing flamboyant self-expression or fleeting moments of instant connection, Sugiyama carefully captures the emotions and memories that emerge from everyday life, giving them shape through words and melody.
