This is the first album of Euphonix, an electronica musician who has been making music inspired by the 80s and 90s electronica scene.

He makes cool and nostalgic sounds built using vintage synthesizers. These songs are reminiscent of the medium-term Yellow Magic Orchestra but have a light groove and create a unique electronica world.

The album's lead song "ROBOTIC LUV" welcomes Kaori Hanai of the girls pop band "sugar'N'spice". The result is a danceable and cute electronica sound.

In addition, ROBOTIC LUV's MUSICVIDEO has a lot of sense of the future.

The last of this album contains "NEVER BE GOOD POETRY", a techno love song with lyrical and beautiful melody.

Artist Profile

  • Euphonix

A Tokyo-based electro / synth-pop producer. Influenced by 80s and 90s technopop and electronica, he creates music that blends the texture of vintage synthesizers with modern production aesthetics. In 2010, he won an award in a music contest organized by Fred Perry, judged by Yukihiro Takahashi of YMO. Since then, he has participated in J-WAVE "MUSIC HYPER MARKET" and provided music for female vocalist Joanna Koike, also working under the alias "Drip dry eyes." His second album SPACESHIP HEAD, released in 2023, features lyrics by British lyricist Chris Mosdell, known for his work with YMO and film music. The album combines meticulously recreated vintage synthesizer textures with contemporary clarity, resulting in a sound that evokes 80s electro while remaining fresh and relevant today. The lead track SPACESHIP HEAD is accompanied by a sci-fi inspired music video created using digital human technology. In the same year, it was awarded the Grand Prize in the synthesizer contest on "Logic Radio" (alpha-STATION / FM Kyoto), hosted by Hideki Matsutake. Currently, he is working on new music while developing a live set, aiming to create an immersive performance centered around sequencers and synthesizers.
