    SOA is a singer and composer from Osaka who has been active across the jazz scene throughout Japan since 2016 In 2020 SOA released the first full album titled Voice of Buoy nationwide and the rare sound style that blends pop oriented melodies with free jazz continues to shine more strongly within the scene Aiming to create a new form of Japanese pop built from a crossover sound that incorporates diverse musical elements such as jazz soul and Brazilian music SOA released the extended play works San and U which sing of hope and light for a world thrown into confusion and stagnation by the spread of the coronavirus and by natural disasters
