# NG+ - English Release Description

New Game Plus.

In video games, it means beginning the journey again while carrying over the experience, abilities, and strength earned along the way.

GHEME's first album, "NG+," was not originally written around this concept. The title came later, when the band realized that these words perfectly described who they were.

Formed in Kumamoto, Japan, GHEME is not a band that started from zero. Each of its five members brought years of music, work, success, failure, and life experience with them. In less than four years, they have held two one-man shows, organized their own two-day festival featuring 20 bands, and built a passionate local following.

They started something new without throwing away what came before.

That is their New Game Plus.

GHEME's music does not chase every modern rock trend. Instead, it carries the kind of sound that makes people remember why they loved rock bands in the first place. Guitars ring out, bass and drums drive forward, keyboards open up the sound, and a raw voice rises from the center.

The album begins gently with "Darling," a song about imagining loss in order to recognize how precious the present really is.

Then comes "NEW WORLD," one of GHEME's signature songs. Written during a major turning point in vocalist TEP's own life, it is about letting go of what holds you back and opening the door to a new future. At live shows, audiences now raise their fists without being asked.

"ALL" pushes that idea further, asking a simple question: Who is holding the oar of your life? Life is shorter than we think. If the ending is unknown, why spend it following someone else's expectations?

After that emotional intensity, "STEP" abandons meaning altogether. Its words were chosen for sound and rhythm rather than a message. It exists simply to make people move, dance, and enjoy the moment.

Then comes "thread," one of the emotional centers of the album. Rather than telling anyone how to live, it quietly accepts the road already traveled. Inspired by the emotional power GHEME found in bands such as 10-FEET and G-FREAK FACTORY, the song aims to reach the heart before the listener even understands why. At live shows, it often leaves people in tears.

The album closes with "At Lawson at 8 A.M.," a song that predates GHEME itself. Originally written for TEP's previous band, it has continued to find people who love it across different bands and different years.

Perhaps that is New Game Plus in its purest form.

GHEME's live shows have left people saying, "I cried," "The MC hit me hard," "I felt frustrated with myself," and "I had almost given up on something, but now I want to try again."

Yet GHEME does not tell people how to live.

Five grown men simply step onto a stage, sweat through their trademark orange jumpsuits, and play with everything they have. What each listener takes home is entirely their own.

Courage. Frustration. Passion. A forgotten impulse. Anything.

"NG+" is not an album about starting life over.

It is about starting again while carrying everything with you: your experience, failures, scars, and everything you once loved.

In an age of invisible cynicism, GHEME chooses to answer with a voice sung raw.

Not a reset.

A restart with everything earned along the way.

New Game Plus.
