EX.A.M.M.(Experimental Ambient Minimal Music)
Tomohiko Gondo's 19th monthly solo works.
This work was made when he was at the age of 25,6. Located on Newbury Street in Boston, it captures a street performance featuring electronic acoustics and euphonium, set up with amps and DAT in front of a newly opened Starbucks Coffee, right at the corner where Tower Records used to be. This collection reflects the time when the jacket, now mastered, was originally sold as a cassette tape ($4.33). Despite the noise from the 4-track cassette multitrack recorder used for recording, the use of DAT for mastering preserved a decent sound quality. It's an avant-garde ambient piece. The cassette originally had 8 tracks, but this release includes an additional track not included previously."
