The One-Line Encore is a mid tempo city pop track set in a small public library in winter, portraying a quiet connection built entirely out of handwriting on a lending card.
Wooden shelves in Kyodo, a paper card drawn from the pocket inside the cover, neat blue ink that always sits one line above her own name, and a lending slip with only one blank line left create a hushed afternoon scene where two strangers trace the same road of books half a month apart.

Performed by the fictional AI singer Akemi, the song captures the emotions of adulthood that refuses to leave coincidence in the hands of others, choosing to close the circle of chance with her own name instead of waiting for it to fade.
Inspired by the late 1970s to early 1980s Japanese new music and city pop, the track reimagines that era lyrical subtlety through images of library afternoons, paper cards, and names lined up beside dates.

On the final line of the card she writes her name, and the column of familiar script is filed away with the sound of a date stamp.
What remains is a brand new white card in the pocket, its first line belonging to neither of them yet.
Produced by nanayon music.
