Lyric

Tap the night

With my little claws

Something glows

Behind the walls

Black Cat Step

You won’t catch me

I tie my ribbon on the far side of the moon

Tiny shoes are tapping on a silver tune

Candy-colored sighs in my pocket start to shine

I keep a little secret underneath my smile

They said, “Stay sweet”

They locked the door

I winked at the key

And kicked the floor

A lost little black cat knows where to go

Dancing through the shadows nobody knows

Can you hear it now?

Even broken bells can ring

I turn the stardust underneath my feet

The night is not so kind

To pretty little hearts

So I sharpen my dreams in the dark

Black Cat Step, kick the dark

Twirl away, leave a spark

If you wanna catch me, better learn

How to chase my shadow when it turns

Smile like sugar, hide my claws

Glitter teeth and velvet paws

I’ll take my crying heart with me

Tonight I’m wild, tonight I’m free

Raindrop beads on the glassy neon street

Magic flowers bloom where the city shadows meet

I wear my broken dreams like jewels beside my ears

Running past the whispers that I used to fear

They said, “Not you”

They laughed too loud

I mixed their voices

Into moonlit clouds

A round-eyed black cat chooses what to see

I draw my own future with my melody

Can you see it now?

Even wounded wings call wind

I feel the spell awakening within

I don’t throw weakness away

I let it bite and bloom

Then I dance through the bruise-lit gloom

Black Cat Step, kick the night

Twirl away, steal the light

If you wanna stop me, say my name

Like you’re ready to play my game

Smile like sugar, steal the moon

Silver claws in a velvet tune

I’ll take my lonely heart with me

Tonight I fight, tonight I’m free

Red signal

Blue magic

White breath

Black heartbeat

Back alley

Moon shadow

Glass cage

Starts to crack

With my tail

I trace the night

There it is

The exit laughs

Black Cat Step

One-two check

From shade to shade

I slip, I flex

Sweet little face

But I hijack the scene

Neon claws

And a midnight queen

Ribbon untied

Bassline slides

Cello growls

And the whole night rides

I’m not running

I choose my track

Try to catch me

I won’t look back

Black Cat Step, kick the dark

Twirl away, leave a spark

If you wanna catch me, better learn

How to chase my shadow when it turns

Smile like sugar, hide my claws

Glitter teeth and velvet paws

I’ll take my crying heart with me

Tonight I’m wild, tonight I’m free

Black Cat Step

Jump to the moon

Cute little monster
