HighT releases its third original mini-album "mirai" on September 18 after an interval of two years.
The theme of the album is "entertainment x region x future.
This mini-album is filled with Hight's current thoughts and feelings toward "the future." The album, the first in two years since "Keep Loving You," includes the lead tracks "Without Me" and "Sudachi Shower," as well as a collaboration with a musician with ties to HighT.
The English lyrics of "Without Me" were written from a father's point of view, and the song is about the "now" with a fast-growing child. A Japanese version of the song is included as a bonus track.
The song "Sudachi Shower" was released on September 5 and reached No. 2 on the iTunes R&B chart. The song is full of "Sudachi love" and was produced with his best friend from college, Wataru Kawano (Sudachiman), and has a strong entertainment value.
HighT, who has been active as a musician for about 10 years, recently announced that he is actually a father of two children and a "father singer" who performs music while dropping his children off at kindergarten every morning. Having a daughter and living together in Tokushima has changed the way he sees and thinks about many things over the past few years. HighT says that it was having his children by his side that made him want to make Tokushima "a region where people can imagine the future. HighT decided to release this film because he believes that what he can do for the next generation of children is not only to create "an example for them to challenge themselves in Tokushima" and "an opportunity to meet people who are pursuing their dreams and goals," but also to send a positive message to the world about the "future of the region" through his work.
