Performed by the fictional AI singer Akemi, the song captures the emotions of adulthood that lets go first, passing on what cannot be said and leaving the day it comes undone entirely to the other person.
Inspired by the late 1970s to early 1980s Japanese new music and city pop, the track reimagines that era urban lyricism through images of a downtown dusk, the ritual of wrapping a gift, and a parting with no name.
