Shuta Hasunuma releases his new original EP album "+1P EP" with four new songs.
The title for the album comes from his recent multi-channel sounds performance "unpeople + 1 people". After the release of "unpeople" in 2023; which was highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally, Shuta Hasunuma has been touring around the world performing "unpeople + 1 people".
First track "Heaven" premiered in March 2024 at the "unpeople -premier-" performance which was held at "Heaven" designed by Isamu Noguchi, Sogetsu Plaza. Poetry reading by Jatinder Singh Durhailay, Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck, her bird Lemon and the poem by Sayaka Osaki. The second track "Pragma" is a rhythm track performed in his club set. The third track "one window (instrumental)" is the instrumental version of the song 'one window' released in 2023. The last track is an epic 7 minutes long "Pluralist" which concludes this album.

With this ambitious new EP album, listeners can experience a lingering scent of "unpeople" from both its sounds and visual work, allowing its audience to immerse themselves into the Hasunuma's music world.
Born 1983 in Tokyo. Next to performing live with his own "Shuta Hasunuma Philharmonic Orchestra" in Japan and abroad, his diverse activities include contributing soundtracks to stage productions and movies, and producing and creating music that is mainly based on environmental and electronic sounds. In recent years he has been applying the methods of musical composition to various media such as video, sound, sculpture and installation, the results of which he has been showcasing at domestic and international exhibitions and projects. He recently released "Good News" as Shuta Hasunuma & U-zhaan (Japan/2021). His work extends internationally; in 2013, he took part in a residency program in New York, supported by Asian Cultural Council, and was appointed as the Japan Cultural Envoy by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2017. His solo exhibitions include: "compositions : rhythm" Spiral, Tokyo, 2016; "compositions" Beijing Culture and Art Center, Beijing, 2017; "compositions" Pioneer Works, New York, 2018; " ~ ing" Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo, 2018; "OTHER Someone's public and private / Something's public and private" void+ , Tokyo, 2020 etc. His recent public projects and group exhibitions include; "Someone's public and private / Something's public and private" Tompkins Square Park ,New York, 2019; "Ota Art vol.3 'Sazaedo 2020-Modern spiral and hundred paintings'" Art Museum & Library, Ota, Gunma, 2020. He received the new face award of Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts in 2018.
