In the silence, the low end begins to distort.
"SILENT DISTORTION" is a high-tension rock track
built around a heavily distorted bass line,
shifting through odd time signatures and key changes.
It opens with an unstable 7/8 groove,
drives forward in a tight 4/4 rhythm,
and bursts open into a soaring, modulated chorus.
Moving between order and collapse,
an invisible noise pushes the body forward.
Distortion that cannot be spoken,
silence that cannot be heard.
Between them, something begins to move-
cut through by deep bass and piercing high tones.
"SILENT DISTORTION" captures the madness
hidden beneath stillness,
and turns it into sound.
Hai no Kyori is a Japanese three-piece rock band formed by Rei Sato (Vo/Gt), Ren Morikawa (Ba), and Misaki (Dr). Their music captures the tension between the cold air of the city and the faint heat that lingers within. With dry guitars and tight rhythms, they weave a sound of desperation and silence a blend of raw energy reminiscent of Number Girl and Fuzzy Control, fused with a modern, minimal aesthetic. Their songs live at the edge measuring the temperature of ashes, glowing faintly before they fade.
