monophone

"monophone" is dodo's first full-length album in about a year, a 12-track release that marks the first half of the 26 Project.

This album documents what happened to me throughout 2025 - shifting emotions, uncertainty, and prayer. Rather than simply revisiting events, I pursued phonetics at a deeper level, aiming to connect the sound of words and rhythm directly with emotion.
It also represents a breakthrough, elevating both my beat-making and rap recording to the next stage.

As I turn 31 on February 6, 2026, this work captures my "current position" just before stepping into a new phase of life.
Everything that happened to me during my 30th year is preserved here, together with sound and rhyme.

The album title "monophone" is a coined word, created by reversing the idea of "genuine."

I have seen what is real.
Not something manufactured.
Not something performed.
A presence that cannot be made.
Not something created - but something that exists by its own power.

That is why, in this project, I wanted to deliver only what is truly real through sound.

monophone is a reflection, a record, and an offering.

Through a single voice, these twelve tracks weave together small moments of everyday life and major turning points, quietly yet clearly revealing dodo's reality.

This album is both a thank-you to everyone who has supported me, and a prayer for what lies ahead.
