  • Shintaro Ishida

    Started playing American country music in high school and played pedal steel guitar in collage band and U.S. Air Force soldier band The Cimarrons . After graduated from college , he joined Yoshio Ohno's Country Mates and Jimmy Tokita's Mountain Play Boys . In 1968 He organized his own band The Citylites and backing up for many American country singers such as Jinnie Sheely ,Tanya Tucker , Chrley Pride etc. and also Japanese star singers .Toured to U.S.S.R in 1980 and 1984 as a member of Terry Terauchi and his Blue Jeans . in 1982 played at TV Tokyo music programme with steel guitar legend Mr. Buddy Emmons , and 1987 , paticipated In International Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis Missouri U.S.A. . Now he plays with his daughter Miya who is a country singer with his new Citylites band and teach steel guitar to japanese steel fans .
