"Sabita Compass (Rusty Compass)" is a song about an adult choosing to begin again-not by denying the years or detours behind him, but by carrying them forward.
Through everyday images-an old radio, a station platform before the first train, and a can of coffee drained in one go-the song arrives at a hopeful realization: "Right now, I'm the youngest I'll ever be."
Some directions can be shown only by a rusted compass with a bent needle. By accepting past choices and time spent lost, the narrator chooses a new direction from exactly where he stands.
It is a song about believing that it is never too late-and that we can begin again, no matter our age or how many times it takes.
