• Nocturnal Lover

  Based in Tokyo, Nightly Lover (Yakousei Lover) is a four-piece indie rock band formed by university students all born in 2005. The band officially launched its current lineup in March 2026. Shortly after, on May 4th, they released their first single, "Garakuta." Despite being newcomers, the members carry a proven track record from their previous formation, having performed twice at major circuit festivals in Shimokitazawa and successfully organizing two headlining shows. These experiences have built their reputation for delivering authentic, high-energy live performances. Their sound is defined by straightforward, driving guitar riffs paired with infectious, catchy melodies. Their lyrics capture the delicate, often uncertain period of being a university student navigating that space between adolescence and adulthood. Rather than aiming for grand manifestos, Nightly Lover focuses on the small, quiet moments of daily life, offering music that walks alongside the listener through their loneliest nights. Instead of trying to change the world overnight, they aim to make the listener's step just a little lighter as they leave the live house. With a new digital single set for release on June 5th and a show in Akasaka on June 6th, Nightly Lover is rapidly making their mark on the Tokyo music scene.
