Until the Day You Smile Again is a heartfelt ballad written for anyone going through difficult times, offering comfort rather than urging them to simply move forward.

Built around the message that you do not have to be strong and you do not have to smile, the song embraces moments of uncertainty and stillness, while gently encouraging listeners to move forward at their own pace.

Beginning with piano and acoustic guitar, the arrangement gradually expands with strings and a full band, carrying the song from quiet compassion toward a sense of hope.

Artist Profile

  • KOJI KIKUCHI

Carve trees and spin songs. Kikuchi Koji is a man who has been passionate about music in his heart while sweating on the field every day as a carpenter. When I was in high school, I participated in a local contest with a band I formed with my friends, and won the best prize and the vocal award. The applause he received on that stage gave him the dream of "living with music". About 15 years ago, they joined an indie label as a duo. He took the first step as a professional, but his activities did not last long and soon disbanded. From there on, the days that I couldn't sing as I wanted continued. Daily work, life, reality. Even so, somewhere in my heart, I couldn't give up. And the year before last. The thoughts that have been suppressed for a long time are on fire again. With courage, I applied for an audition for the current music and entertainment agency. The result is - passed. Back to the stage. To the world of music again. "From the dissolution of the duo to the passing of the audition the year before last, it was really a long time without singing. That's why I'm chewing on the joy of being able to sing in front of everyone like this every day. Solid manual work as a carpenter and straightforward words as a singer-songwriter. Using both of them as a weapon, Kikuchi Koji sings today. From the scene to the stage. The story of sweat and passion has just begun.
