JOSUKE's fifth work on the theme of "ambition" without breaking the masculine style. Contrary to the sweet singing voice, JOSUKE's ambitious feelings with intense passion can be glimpsed. A person who is not a human goes to drive a wedge into the heavens while raising the flag. A work whose theme is "Gekokujo", which means an inverted social order when the lowly reigned over the elite. The bass beats are beaten hard to stir up something, but JOSUKE's sentimental voice and slowness of tempo are the elements that do not break the masculine style. A song that exquisitely combines the "strength" of men with the "romanticity" of JOSUKE. Arranged by Kazuki Sugawara (anre*f), who was in charge of "In the Dream" and "Hana Makeup", he was constructing a new side of JOSUKE with an aggressive and catchy electro sound with Dubstep as a hint. In addition, this music video is also a work that expands the possibilities of JOSUKE's diverse expressions with the first back dancer.
JOSUKE is a singer-songwriter whose expressive vocals move between intimate warmth and soaring highs. His voice carries a sense of magic that reaches the heart beyond the boundaries of language. Through metaphor and vivid imagery, his lyrics explore human longing, loneliness, desire, and contradiction, shaping worlds where beauty and danger coexist. Raised in an international school environment, JOSUKE was immersed from an early age in music and cultures from around the world. He began singing and playing electric guitar at fifteen and started writing songs soon after, initially building compositions around chord progressions. After several years as a band vocalist, he launched his solo career in 2018. Long-term training with a vocal coach whose background spans pop, soul, and gospel has shaped his emphasis on resonance, articulation, and emotional precision. His debut single, Yume no Naka de, reached No. 1 on Apple Music's J-Pop chart in France. Kagerou later topped the iTunes J-Pop Top Songs chart in Italy and the Apple Music J-Pop Music Video chart in Russia, while surpassing 930,000 plays in Brazil. Both songs appeared on his 2022 debut album, Beyond The Sin, which reconstructed material originating in his band years through electronic production. Musically, his work moves from intimate restraint to expansive emotional release, combining melodic pop songwriting with atmospheric arrangements and a strong sense of dramatic contrast. After returning to the development of new material in 2024, he gradually shifted toward a more self-directed production process. In 2026, following a year focused on arrangement, sound design, and mixing, he is developing a new body of work while taking a more direct role in shaping its arrangements, production, and final sound.
