• TACKER

  TACKER is a soul and R&B singer from Amagasaki, Hyogo, Japan. At the age of 19, he moved to New York City, where he studied gospel, soul, and R&B vocal expression at a local church. His greatest strengths are his powerful and soulful voice, advanced vocal runs and melisma, and rich layered harmony arrangements. He builds both lead and background vocals with his own voice, creating a full, gospel-rooted R&B sound. His career highlights include appearing on the TV Asahi program Ongaku Champ, finishing as runner-up at the Kansai Regional Final of the NHK program School Live Show, performing at Apollo Theater Amateur Night in New York, and holding a solo concert at Shibuya duo MUSIC EXCHANGE. TACKER aims to combine gospel-influenced vocal expression with the emotional power of the Japanese language and create Japanese R&B that can reach audiences both in Japan and internationally.
